Are these surveys anonymous?
These surveys are completely anonymous. A survey writer may choose to have a name listed for the survey. A respondant's responses are added to the response count of each question and to the response count of the answer they give. No respondant's personal information is ever taken or remembered by the system.
Can I check the demographics of respondants?
You are allowed qualifying questions within a survey. For instance if you wanted to restrict a survey to people age 19-29, you would create a question like this:
What is your age?
1) 0 - 9
2)10 - 18
3) 19-29
4) 29-49
5) Over 49
You would set answer 3 as a required answer. If a respondant to your survey did not answer 19-29, the required answer, the survey would end. You are only allowed one required answer per question. You cannot at this time track single respondants questions across answers. You cannot tell, for instance, if a single user that answered C on question 5 also answered A on question 8.
How do people find my survey?
After creating a survey and adding the questions to it you will be given a link to start the survey and a link to view the results. The Survey Spot does not publish or encourage people to take surveys. We do not provide links to individual surveys. Our policy is that the survey writer can better sift out the demographic choices by providing their own access to the survey from their own sources.

Will you link back to my site ?
We are not providing link backs to sites so as to discourage folks from adding surveys just to get link backs to their site and push up their page rank.
How long will a survey last?
We strive to keep surveys available for 30 days. However, this may be cut short due to a number of reasons. We will immediately turn off and delete a survey that we deem offensive, libelous, or in any way a misrepresentation of any individual or company. In many instances surveys are available much longer than the 30 day mark. If we have the space on our servers to maintain an active survey we will keep it online as long as possible.
Are surveys deemed offensive removed?
Absolutely. We reserve the right to remove a survey, at any time, with or without cause. In practice this rarely happens but if necessary we will certainly remove a survey.

Can I show my respondants the results?
Yes! In fact, we highly recommend it! In order for a respondant to feel involved with the survey allowing them access to the results is extremely important. While we realize that there are some surveys that need to be private if at all possible we highly recommend that respondants have the ability to view the results.
Can I not show my respondants the results?
This is possible though we highly recommend allowing your respondants to view results. If you must keep results private you can select a user name and password when creating the survey. Be aware, however, that the anonymous nature of our surveys precludes us from giving that data out should you lose it.
How valid are these surveys?
In terms of data retention they are quite valid. Votes are counted for each respondant and the results are displayed. However, due to the anonymous nature of the surveys we cannot preclude people from taking the survey more than once. While it's possible for this to skew the results, in practice most surveys will not be skewed heavily by this occurance.

Yes. They can be found here and must be agreed to prior to creating a survey.
Do you have any guarantees?
Not at all. There are no guarantees that this service will provide accurate results or that it will be available at any particular time.
